How Trips Are Planned

All trips with Three Rivers Fishing are planned around conditions rather than fixed schedules. Tide movement, recent rainfall, water clarity and seasonal behaviour all influence where and when fish are most active.

Launch locations, start times and river choice may vary from trip to trip. This flexibility allows each day on the water to be built with purpose, maximising time spent fishing productive water rather than following a one-size-fits-all plan.

Final details are confirmed closer to your trip date once conditions are clearer.

  • Fully guided Australian bass fishing experience

  • Quality rods, reels and lures

  • All required safety equipment

  • On-water guidance and local knowledge

  • Snacks and water

  • Lunch break time included on full-day trips

What to Bring

To stay comfortable on the water, anglers should bring:

  • Sun protection, including hat, sunscreen and sunglasses

  • Weather-appropriate clothing

  • Comfortable, non-slip footwear

  • Any personal medication

Optional:

  • Your own rod or reel if preferred

  • Fly fishing gear and flies if fly fishing

Experience Level

Trips are suitable for a wide range of experience levels.

No prior fishing experience is required. Beginners are welcome and will receive guidance throughout the day. Experienced anglers can expect a focused approach that adapts to conditions and allows room to refine techniques.

Fly fishers are welcome, although flies are not supplied and instruction is limited to on-water guidance.

Seasonal Considerations

The prime bass season runs from spring through to autumn, with summer offering the most consistent fishing and the best topwater opportunities.

Conditions vary year to year, and weather plays a significant role in how the system fishes. Trips are adjusted to suit the season, with techniques, locations and timing changing as water temperatures and river behaviour shift.

Weather and Safety

Safety and preparation are central to every trip. Weather and river conditions are assessed before and during each outing, with decisions made conservatively to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

If conditions are unsuitable, trips may be adjusted or rescheduled. Clear communication is provided if changes are required.

All trips are fully guided, and appropriate safety equipment is carried at all times.
